Power and plugs
Mains supply here is 230V at 50Hz, using plug type G.
A plug adapter changes the shape of the pins and nothing else. A single-voltage kettle from a 120V country will not work safely on a 230V supply no matter which adapter you use — check the label on the appliance for a dual-voltage range before you pack it. More on travel kettles and voltage →
What to expect in the room
A kettle and a hospitality tray are close to universal, including in budget properties: instant coffee sachets, tea bags, sugar and UHT milk pots. The kettle is far more useful than a pod machine for anyone bringing their own coffee, and the supplied instant is usually the weak link. Capsule machines appear at the upper end.
