Advertising & affiliate disclosure
Stated plainly, and kept current.
As of today
RoomBrew carries no advertising. There is no ad code on this site, and no third-party ad network has any presence on any page.
RoomBrew has no affiliate relationships. No link on this site earns us a commission. Where a guide recommends a category of product — an AeroPress, a collapsible dripper, specialty instant — we deliberately do not link to a retailer.
No hotel, chain or manufacturer pays for placement or has any influence over what we publish. A hotel cannot pay to have its coffee setup described differently, to rank higher, or to be removed.
If that changes
We may introduce advertising or affiliate links in future. If we do:
- This page will be updated before anything is deployed, not after.
- Affiliate links will be disclosed on the page carrying them, not only here.
- Advertising will never influence a hotel’s recorded facts, its confidence score, or its position in a list.
- The privacy policy will be updated to reflect any data an ad network receives.
The reason for stating this now, while there is nothing to disclose, is that a disclosure policy written after the money arrives is worth very little.
Why product advice exists at all
Our guides recommend equipment because a traveller facing a room with no coffee maker needs to know what to pack. The advice is written to be useful whether or not you buy anything, and deliberately favours the lightest and cheapest option that solves the problem — which is usually a bag of coffee, not a gadget.
